Hypocotyl Ltd was founded by plant scientist Nick Holton, whose career spans both academia and industry. Driven by a passion for harnessing plants as bioreactors for pharmaceutical innovation, Nick recognized the challenges of sustainable cultivation, seasonal variability, and environmental impact in whole-plant bioactive production. Drawing on his extensive experience, he developed robust methods to produce and enhance plant cell lines—leading to the creation of Hypocotyl Ltd.
